Learn More At Sunshine City Scare

Sunshine City Scare 2026 is Florida’s Official Halloween Prequel, bringing together horror fans, cosplayers, creators, and Halloween enthusiasts for a full weekend of spooky entertainment on August 15-16 at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. The Halloween preparation event features the legendary Evil Ted, cosplay and lip sync contests, a Slash & Splash Pool Party, and shopping deals with vendors. 

Throughout Sunshine City Scare, Cosplay/er will host a series of interactive experiences that allow attendees learn more, and maybe become part of, the movie:

• Record your scream for possible use in trailers, promotional content, and potentially the film itself. No registration needed – walk-ups to Kawaii Butterflies booth.
• Meet the Cosplay/er team and learn more about the project, its characters, and how the film is being developed in panel discussions. (see schedule for offerings).
