For decades, Evil Ted has been one of the most recognizable and respected names in the cosplay community through his popular YouTube channel and conventional appearances, both of which he delivers instructional workshops and hands-on teaching. Having helped hundreds of thousands of creators develop their skills, Evil Ted’s passion for teaching and sharing knowledge has made him a trusted mentor to beginners and experienced builders alike.
Beyond his cosplay work, Evil Ted brings extensive film and television experience to Cosplay/er. His award-winning prop and production work has contributed to productions including Avatar, The Last Airbender, Fallout, The Fifth Element, Titanic, The Hunger Games, Xena: Warrior Princess, and many more.
Also, he regularly collaborates with director Garo Setian. Their established working relationship brings valuable experience, trust, and creative synergy to Cosplay/er.

Bringing glamour, horror, and prosthetic artistry together, meet Cosplay/er Head of Makeup & SFX Artist The Star Cos—the creative force behind the blood, beauty, and transformations that bring the film to life.
At just 21 years old, Star has already established herself as a rising talent in both the cosplay and makeup industries. As a cosplayer, she has 1 million followers on TikTok and is quickly approaching 70k on Instagram. Influenced by the world of drag, her cosplay is known for its hyper-feminized, over-the-top glamour as well as unique and unforgettable character transformations.
During the day, Star works in the Makeup & Prosthetics Department at Universal Epic Universe, where she helps bring iconic characters to life including Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Ygor, and Gobber from How to Train Your Dragon. A graduate of The Vocational Academy of Makeup & Prosthetics, Star joined the Makeup & Prosthetics Department at Epic Universe when the groundbreaking new theme park first opened its gates.
She has done makeup on independent horror film productions and now steps into her first lead makeup role with Cosplay/er. Combining her experience in cosplay, beauty makeup, prosthetics, and horror effects, she takes a lead role in shaping the visual identity of the film and helping transform its characters from concept to screen.
Meet Cosplay/er’s Creator and Executive Producer, Dewey Caruthers—the driving force behind the film’s story, characters, and community-first approach to filmmaking. After creating the concept, story and other aspects of the world of Cosplay/er, Dewey set out to make a slasher film that not only celebrates cosplay culture but also invites the community itself to become part of the experience.
For years, Dewey has been building and supporting Florida’s cosplay community as the owner/operator of fan conventions: St. Pete Comic Con, Sunshine City Scare, Anime St. Pete, and Holiday St. Pete. In addition, he owns Florida Comic Cons, a popular news site that covers fan cons throughout the state known for it’s Con Calendar. Through his events and Florida Comic Cons’ popular Best Cosplay We See! competition, he helps produce more than a dozen cosplay contests and showcases each year, giving talented cosplayers opportunities to be recognized, celebrated, and connected with fellow fans and creators.
Beyond Cosplay/er, Dewey continues to create new opportunities for the cosplay community through The Cos Shop. Opening soon, the online store will offer cosplay supplies, makeup, SFX materials, and costume-building products. In addition, The Cos Shop’s retail location is scheduled to open later in the year. In addition to the retail products, the space will feature fully equipped crafting workshops, a vented paint and finishing room, and a professional photo studio designed to support cosplayers, makers, photographers, and creators.
He is almost always accompanied by Gwen-Stacy (named after Peter Parker’s favorite girlfriend), a toy/mini Australian Shepherd who serves as Dewey’s assistant and security detail while juggling a wide range of responsibilities to help keep her boss on track.
