Cosplay/er Signature Models is a unique community-driven initiative that allows fans, cosplayers, photographers, makeup artists, and creators to help build the visual identity of the movie. Combining horror, cosplay culture, practical effects, fashion-inspired imagery, and creative collaboration, Signature Models transforms promotional photography into an opportunity for the community to actively participate in the growing world surrounding the film. Participants can purchase an official Signature Model Kit, recreate the look, and share their own interpretation of the concept (more info end of the blog).
The Signature Model blends glamour, beauty, fashion-inspired photography, and practical horror effects into a single visual concept. Inspired by both slasher films and high-fashion imagery, the look is designed to be unsettling, memorable, and instantly recognizable within the world of Cosplay/er. Rather than focusing on gore alone, the concept emphasizes contrast—the elegance of the model against the violence suggested by the effect—creating imagery that feels cinematic, dramatic, and uniquely connected to the film’s identity.
Participating is simple. Creators can purchase an official Signature Model Kit, follow the included Creative Reference Guide, and recreate the look using their own photography style, posing, location, and artistic interpretation. Whether you’re a cosplayer, photographer, makeup artist, or a creator who wears all of those hats, the goal is not to create identical photos, but to allow each participant to bring their own creativity, within the guardrails of the Creative Reference Guide, to a shared visual concept connected to Cosplay/er.
Every Signature Model photo helps expand the visual world of Cosplay/er. Participants are encouraged to share their work on social media, helping introduce the project to new audiences while connecting with other creators who are producing their own interpretations of the concept. The Signature Model Kit is designed to make it easy for creators to recreate the look while adding their own artistic style and interpretation. Each kit includes the materials needed (prosthetic, makeup, etc.) for the effect along with a Creative Reference Guide featuring visual examples, tips, and creative direction. Signature Models can be created by a single creator or through collaborations between cosplayers, performers, photographers, makeup artists, and other visual artists looking to produce striking horror-inspired imagery.
